Job Description
The Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of roofing projects at multiple job sites across the country. This role involves managing field operations, coordinating crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Field Superintendent will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance of roofing systems while adhering to industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight : Manage day-to-day operations of roofing projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
Crew Management : Supervise roofing crews, subcontractors, and laborers, ensuring productivity, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
Safety Compliance : Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure all workers are trained in safety practices.
Quality Assurance : Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and industry standards (e.g., NRCA guidelines).
Client Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Material and Equipment Management : Coordinate delivery and inventory of roofing materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and proper use.
Scheduling and Coordination : Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and resolve any delays or issues.
Reporting : Provide regular progress reports to project managers, document site activities, and maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and expenses.
Problem Resolution : Identify and resolve on-site challenges, such as weather delays, material shortages, or technical issues, to keep projects on track.
Training and Mentorship : Train and mentor junior staff or new hires on roofing techniques, safety practices, and company standards.
